Are you ready to get out of the house? Do you need a winter break? St. Charles in DuBois has a solution to those mid-winter blues! Come out for a wonderful evening of food, dancing, socializing, and bidding on some great auction items.
St. Charles is hosting the annual Snowball Dance and Auction on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the KC Hall in DuBois. If you missed the ad in last week’s paper, you may contact Monica Bochantin at 318-6802 for details and advance tickets, the DuBois KC Hall, or visit the DuBois branch of Farmers & Merchants Bank. Adult tickets are $20. Children aged 6-12 yrs. are $10. Very young children aged 5 yrs. and under are FREE.
Everyone enjoyed the menu last year, so it will be a chicken and beer dance again. All the fried chicken you can eat will be available, and beer and soda are included. Guests can bring their own food items for themselves to add to their dining experience, but no drinks, please.
Items to be auctioned at the live auction include one beautiful, queen sized handmade quilt, another quilt designed for children, hand-crafted furniture, a one night stay at the Original Springs Hotel with meals, massages, baths and more, concert tickets, sports tickets and possibly more.
In addition to the live auction, you will have the opportunity to bid on numerous items at our silent auction. There will be items for the kiddos as well as adults. This is an opportunity for you to bid on some beautiful handmade and one-of-kind items, as well as numerous other items generously donated.
For your dancing pleasure, One Night Stand will be providing the music from 7 pm until 11 PM. We will also feature opening musical selections from our own talented Hannah Zyk. Mark your calendar for this Saturday, Jan. 21 and go back and review our ad in last week’s paper.
