Greta Van Fleet are planning to work on a new album for 2019. Bassist Sam Kiszka revealed the band’s 2019 plans in an interview, saying, “A lot more writing, getting some stuff recorded and start working on the next thing.” Drummer Danny Wagner added when asked if 2019 included new music, “Oh yeah, absolutely. I’ll quit if we don’t,” and frontman Josh Kiszka said, “We’ll all quit; we’re parting ways if we don’t release new music.”

According to the band, they already have several completed tracks. Meanwhile, Greta Van Fleet were recently nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. The band also earned nominations for Best Rock Performance (“Highway Tune”), Best Rock Song (“Black Smoke Rising”) and Best Rock Album (From the Fires).  They’re finishing out the year with a handful of tour dates, and will be performing through July 2019.
