ODIN, IL — A man from Odin has been charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon by a felon after an incident on the West Boone Street Extension. 40-year-old Lloyd McMullin is accused of pulling a gun on a man who was test-driving a car he intended to buy, demanding $2,000. The victim handed over the money but flagged down a passing motorist for help when he refused to re-enter the car. McMullin fled but was later arrested at his home, where deputies recovered the cash after receiving consent from his girlfriend. He is being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.
