FAYETTE COUNTY — A final pretrial hearing Friday in Fayette County was continued until Thursday on multiple counts of child sex offenses against a 48-year-old Sandoval man.

Robert V. Willenborg is charged with three Class 1 felony counts of criminal sexual assault of a juvenile and five Class 1 felony counts of criminal sexual abuse of a juvenile.

He’s accused of being a person in a position of trust, authority, or supervision, who committed an act of sexual conduct with a child between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age. Willenborg was known to have volunteered time with the Vandalia FFA.

The case is scheduled for an April 15 jury trial.
