CENTRALIA — Centralia Police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that reportedly sent a 14-year-old boy to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to police, the shooting took place during an argument at Gragg and McKee streets.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what was reportedly a non-life-threatening injury.
Reports show three people involved in the incident may have had guns as evidence at the scene indicates at least 13 shots were fired.
Three homes and one vehicle were reportedly struck in the gunfire. One of the homes was occupied at the time.
Police initially responded to the area around 8 p.m. Tuesday, on a report of two groups of about a dozen people yelling and arguing in the street. But before officers were able to arrive, gunfire erupted.
