CENTRALIA — Centralia’s Evers Field will also undergo some changes later this year when artificial turf is installed.
The school board on Monday approved a more than $1.4 million contract to have the system and concrete base installed. The product will come with a 12-year warranty.
The school will use alternate revenue bonds, to pay for the project and will pay that with the 1 percent sales tax.
Installation of the new turf is anticipated to start sometime in May and to be completed in late summer.
