CENTRALIA — Aaron “Ernie” Shaw, 51, of Centralia passed away peacefully Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

Aaron came into this life on August 15, 1972 in Centralia, the son of proud parents Dean “Pee Wee” Shaw and Pamela “Pam” (Sinclair) Shaw.

When Aaron passed on, he left behind his loving mother, Pam Shaw of Centralia; two aunts: Carolyn Reeder of Mt. Vernon and Debbie Sinclair of Walnut Hill; one uncle: Michael Sinclair and his wife Connie of Centralia; three cousins: Joe Sinclair of Salem, Stacy Milburn and husband Josh of Centralia, and Shawn Signsanith and husband Cory of West Lafayette, IN; bonus aunts: Peggy Beal of Florida, Sharon Aussieker and Scott Niedbalski of Centralia, and Lynn Ott of Wentzville, MO; and several life-long friends.

Upon his heavenly arrival Aaron was reunited with his dad Pee Wee Shaw; his maternal grandparents: Wendell and Jo Ann Sinclair; paternal grandparents: Bob and Venita Shaw; and two uncles: Mark Sinclair and Jeff Reeder.

Aaron was a quiet, easy going guy. Outdoors was his preferred place to be if he wasn’t in his workshop. He liked to play washers and do lawn work. He would collect all kinds of signs and or make them. However, Aaron’s true leisure love was to spend his time in his workshop in his garage. He would spend his time in there collecting old cars and restoring them. Aside from these hobbies, Aaron also loved his dogs. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Centralia, IL.
