BLUFORD, Ill. — Tres Harold Belangee, 43, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 3:38 pm January 6, 2024 at his home in Bluford, Illinois. He was born November 7, 1980 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Elmer Harold Belangee and Teresa (Dawson) Shrum. Tres married Kourtney (Reyling) Belangee on October 13, 2021 in Destin, Florida.

In addition to his beloved wife, Tres is survived by his father, Harold Belangee and wife, Rose of Florida; mother, Teresa Shrum; children, Chase Belangee of Edwardsville, Illinois, Alyse Belangee of Belle Rive, Illinois, Dedryk Belangee of Bluford, Illinois, Kamryn Belangee of Bluford, Illinois, and Riley Johnston of Bluford, Illinois; sister, Lacey Sullivan and husband, David of Arizona; brother, Matt Shrum of Arizona; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Paula Bruce of Wayne City, Illinois and Randy and DeDe Reyling of Dahlgren, Illinois; siblings-in-law, Reegan Schuster and wife, Holly of McLeansboro, Illinois, Jacob Reyling and Shelly Smith of Dahlgren, Illinois; former wife, Kara (Cross) Belangee of Belle Rive, Illinois; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Tres was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Delaney and close friends, George and Iris Duncan.

Tres worked at Knapp Propane as a LP gas delivery driver and attended Central Christian Church. He was a loving son, husband, father, and brother and will be greatly missed. Tres and Kourtney has a beautiful love that most people could only dream of.

A Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Pastor James McKinzie officiating. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Tres’ honor to Kourtney Belangee to help the family with expenses.
