BLUFORD — Patty Ann Jackson, 77, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 12, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Archie and Eunice (Braddock) Lane.

Patty is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bruce Jackson; sister, Peggy Vance and significant other, Steve Walkington; sons, Trent and Bambi (Greenwalt) McKinney, Troy and Laura (Riley) McKinney; daughter, Trena (McKinney) and husband Lee Guerrero; step-sons, Chris Jackson, Ryan and Tammy (Rapé) Jackson; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Hattie (Wood) Braddock, Willnie and Myrtie (Staley) Lane; brother-in-law, Steve Vance; step-son, Scott Sanner-Jackson; grandson, Morgan McKinney. Patty worked several years for Montgomery Ward in the catalog sales department.  Additionally, she worked at the NAPA Distribution Center in Mount Vernon for 15 years before retiring in 2009.  Patty played an integral role in raising funding for the construction of the Bluford Veterans Memorial.

A Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
