MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council will receive bid results Monday night on a proposal for dredging of Veterans Park Lake.

Council members will address this item and others for their regularly scheduled meeting tonight.

Two street closure requests will be heard. The first request is to close North Ninth Street between Main Street and Harrison Street from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. October 28th for a vendor fair.

The second request is for North Street between 10th and 11th Streets from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. October 21st for Serve Day at Central Christian Church.

The council will be asked for permission tonight to waive bidding and award a contract to Barter Masonry Inc. for brickwork at the new police station.

And the council will hear an end-of-the-year report on the Aquatic Zoo.

These items and others will be addressed tonight at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Mt. Vernon City Hall at 1100 Main Street in Mt. Vernon.
