road-work

NASHVILLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that pavement patching will require lane closures on eastbound and westbound Interstate 64 from 4 miles east of exit 50 (Illinois 127) east to the Washington County line beginning, weather permitting, Monday evening, Oct. 9.

To complete the work, I-64 will be reduced to one lane in both directions during off-peak hours. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks.

Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all construction signage, consider alternate routes, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
