OPDYKE, Ill. — Rhonda J. Roberts, 65, of Opdyke, Illinois, passed away on September 19, 2023, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

She was born February 18, 1958 in Davison County, Tennessee to the late Buddy  and Dellas (Stratton) Oxford. Rhonda married Glen D. Roberts on March 23, 1996.

In addition to her beloved husband of twenty-seven years, Rhonda is survived by her son, Billy Wheeler and wife, Melissa of Bluford, Illinois; grandsons, Colton Wheeler of Bluford, Illinois, Bud Roberts, and R.J. Hargrove; granddaughter, Saige Tate; sisters, Kim Barnard and husband, Allen of Bluford, Illinois and Desiree Oxford of Bluford, Illinois; brother, Mike Conner of Dix, Illinois; and stepdaughter, Lorretta Simonton and husband, Mark of Okawville, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Drew and brother, Buddy W. Oxford. Rhonda worked many years as a professional seamstress. She loved to sew, read, and work with art. Rhonda was of the Baptist faith. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10:00 am at Ham’s Grove Cemetery with Pastor Dan Harriman officiating. Interment will follow.
