WILLIAMSON COUNTY — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report that 81-year-old Janet Borowitz of rural Williamson County has been found.

Borowitz was found Monday morning in a densely wooded area not far from her home on Bald Eagle Lane in Carbondale. She was reported to be dehydrated but in overall good condition.

Borowitz has been the subject of an extensive search since Saturday.

The search over the past few days included 100 members of various law enforcement, fire departments, emergency management agency, and volunteers who searched the area extensively.

Additionally, aircraft and drones were utilized which were complicated by the dense woods and thick forest canopy.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all of the agencies and the public for their assistance and support.
