EAST ST. LOUIS — A 33-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court to more than eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty in April of knowingly distributing 50 grams of methamphetamine ice in Centralia.
Ricardo Little was arrested in 2021 on a two-count federal indictment that also charged his sister Ricosha Young.
According to court records, Young would arrange for people to purchase drugs from her brother. But on one occasion, the buyer was a confidential source working with law enforcement.
Warrants were subsequently issued for Young and Little’s arrests. She’s now scheduled for a plea hearing in her case on September 5. If an agreement isn’t reached by that day, a jury trial has been set for September 12.
In addition to the 100 months in prison, Little was sentenced in court Wednesday to serve four years of mandatory supervised release.
