CLINTON, Ind. — Angelina L. Lapolice, 79, of Clinton, Indiana, formerly of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was born July 24, 1943, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of John B. Zucca and Eunice L. (Priest) Zucca. She married Richard “Dick” Lapolice on August 13, 1989, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2013.
Angelina is survived by her daughter: Pamela Kay Truax of Centralia; step-son: Richard Lapolice and wife Marcie of O’Fallon; two grandsons: Christopher Lapolice of Raleigh, NC and Tyler Lapolice of Staunton; two brothers: Bill Zucca and wife Lorei of Clinton, Indiana and Harold “Butch” Zucca of Clinton, Indiana; three sisters: Shirley Moody of Westville, Rosealee Brandon of Clinton, Indiana, and Rosena Stimac of Danville; a sister-in-law: Lois Lapolice of Cedarville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Penny Lee Truax, a brother; and two brothers-in-law.
Angelina worked as an LPN for many years and later retired. She was a member of the Centralia Lady of the Elks. Angelina was very active with the Special Olympics and the Murray Center Parents Association.
Funeral services for Angelina Lapolice will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Friday morning until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
