ODIN — First responders were called just before 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon to the 200 block of Laury Street in Odin on a report of a burn victim laying in a yard.

Ultimately Air Evac was called to respond and it was decided the chopper would land at the school to airlift the victim for treatment. The school was notified to bring students in before the chopper’s arrival or to make sure they were safely away from the landing zone. It’s unclear at this time how the victim came to suffer burns or the extent of the injuries.

Odin firefighters and EMS returned to the station around 3 p.m.
