Kevin W. Sandy, 61, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 2:22 pm February 19, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born May 7, 1961 in Centralia, Illinois to the late Nolan and Norma (Zihlman) Sandy.

Kevin is survived by his sons, Jeremy Sandy and Alex Sandy both of Dix, Illinois; step granddaughter, Kyleigh Sinclair; committed partner, Barb Huffman of Effingham, Illinois; siblings, Tammy Fields, Ron Sandy and wife, Christy, and Rhonda McDonnough; and several nieces and nephews.

Kevin was an avid fisherman, loved Illini basketball, and was a classic rock lover. He worked at Three Z Printing in Teutopolis and will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:30 pm.
