Dwight K. McCormick, 65, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:26 pm February 17, 2023 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born October 23, 1957 in Benton, Illinois to the late Willie Lee and Mary Helen (Stover) McCormick. Dwight married Cynthia (Reaves) McCormick on April 6, 2009.

In addition to his beloved wife of nearly fourteen years, Dwight is survived by his son, Joshua Fuller and wife, Karisa of Woodlawn, Illinois and their children, Kaylyn, Ryleigh, Kynlee, Kenna, and Levi Keith; and his daughter, Autumn McCormick Shelton and husband, Aaron and their children, Cody and Laycie.

Dwight enjoyed playing dice and going fishing. He loved family cookouts and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids.

A Visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Dwight’s honor to the grandchildren in care of Cynthia McCormick.
