WALNUT HILL — David Hutson, 81, of Walnut Hill passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

David was born March 20, 1941, in Centralia, the son of Charles W. Hutson and Thelma (Felton) Beane. He married Karen Belcher on April 4, 1970, and she survives him in Walnut Hill.

In addition to his wife Karen Hutson, David is survived by his son Brad Hutson of Omaha, NE; daughter Stacey Wiebler of Bartelso; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Hutson and Thelma Beane; two brothers; three sisters; father and mother-in-law: Ralph and Violet Belcher; one brother-in-law; a sister-in-law, and one nephew: Gary Belcher.

David served in the Navy in his younger years. He worked for Prairie Farms as a salesman for 25 years. He enjoyed doing yard work, especially mowing the grass. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by those that knew him.

Per David Hutson’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. A visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm. Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home following the visitation.
