JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 55-year-old Woodlawn man was arrested Wednesday by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on multiple drug and weapons charges.

According to the sheriff’s office, David Lamar was arrested for Being an Armed Habitual Criminal, Being a Felon in Possession/Use of a Firearm while on Parole, Possession of a Meth Precursor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Meth, and on a Parole Violation.

Lamar was arrested in April after the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High-Risk Team executed a search warrant at his home on North Main Street in Woodlawn.

He was ultimately charged in that case with Class 2 felony delivery of less than 5 grams of meth, Class 3 felony charges of possession of less than 5 grams of meth, and being a felon in possession of a weapon, Class 4 felony obstruction of justice and Class X felon possession of between 400 and 900 grams of meth.

Lamar was free on 10,000 cash bond in that case when he was arrested on the latest charges Wednesday.
