SALEM — Marion County authorities have released the identity of the man found dead Sunday morning in the Salem Reservoir.
According to the coroner’s office, 26-year-old Quienton Jolliff of Salem had apparently been fishing from the bank when he apparently lost consciousness and fell or rolled from the embankment into the water.
Salem Police Chief Kyle Ambuehl said fishermen found Jolliff’s body just after 9 a.m. Sunday near the south entrance of the nature trail.
Ambuehl says there are no indications of foul play but the case remains under investigation and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
