CENTRALIA — Rocky “Rock” J. Till, 37, passed away at his home in his mother’s arms on July 30th, 2022.

Rocky was born on June 18th, 1985, and resided in Centralia, Illinois. Cherished son of Roberta L. Shanks. Devoted brother to Rachel L. Till. Loving and doting father to Nevaeh M. Till. Rocky had an extraordinarily close bond with his dearest friends and family. While he had a tough bravado, he was unfailingly polite and unwavering in his loyalty. Rocky loved and lived for his daughter. He worked hard to ensure she lacked for nothing and was fiercely proud to be her father. Rocky was an attentive and thoughtful son who didn’t hesitate to mow the grass, trim the weeds or shovel snow on the driveway for his mother. When time permitted, Rocky would engage his sister in a few PlayStation game wars and he enjoyed playing dice with close friends as well. He was a huge football fan and enjoyed rooting for the KC Chiefs(much to the dismay of his sister, who is an avid Packers fan). An experienced painter and carpenter, Rocky attended the “New Life” church in Salem, Illinois, and participated in many projects they were involved with. He inspired others with his steadfast work ethic and playfully teased them with his silly sense of humor and never-ending grin. He will forever be loved and missed by those who knew him best.
