SALEM, IL — Two Salem men were arrested Friday morning on charges stemming from an alleged incident that ended with both men being stabbed. According to Salem police, 21-year-old Mason Allison and 22-year-old Dalyn Opolony were involved in an altercation that resulted in both men suffering stab wounds from a kitchen knife.
Both were taken to Salem Township Hospital emergency room for treatment of stab and cut wounds. Police report Opolony suffered deep knife wounds to his right lower legs. Allison had deep cuts to his right hand. Both had swelling and bruising to the face.
The two received stitches to close their wounds. After being released from the hospital they were both taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged aggravated domestic battery.
