(BENTON, IL) — Three people have been arrested in Franklin County on several meth-related charges. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office says they are 42-year-old Ricky A. Dunning and 23-year-old Ricki L. Carter – both of Royalton – and 23-year-old Laci A. Carter of Herrin. Sheriff Don Jones says deputies were summoned to a home in Royalton Tuesday by Illinois Department of Corrections parole agents who were conducting a routine parole compliance check on Dunning as part of his mandatory supervised release. The parole agents saw drug paraphernalia during the compliance check and alerted the sheriff’s office. Deputies responded and obtained a search warrant for the home. The three are charged with a number of meth-related charges including possession of meth with the intent to deliver, possession of meth making materials, possession of meth precursors and illegal disposal of meth-related trash. They are lodged in the Franklin County Jail pending review by the State’s Attorney’s office and the setting of bond by the court. Jones says the investigation continues and more charges are possible.
