JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Sandoval man was injured in Jefferson County when his semi jack knifed on Interstate 57 near Ina on Friday.

According to State Police reports, 54-year-old Steven Young was southbound at mile marker 82 near Ina in the right lane when his Freightliner drifted off of the road. Once off the roadway, the Freightliner jack knifed with its trailer after striking multiple trees.Further investigation revealed Young has a heart condition that contributed to the crash.

Young was charged with Improper Lane Usage and a Log Book Violation.
