(WALNUT HILL, IL) — An early Sunday morning fight outside a Walnut Hill bar remains under investigation, with one individual being transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday morning to a report of a fight involving multiple people outside the Pit Stop bar. Initial reports indicated knives were involved in the fight and at least one person had been stabbed. However, while that report was false, one person was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Officers from Centralia, Central City and Wamac assisted in the search for a man wanted for questioning in connection with the incident. He ultimately turned himself in to the Centralia Police Department where he was questioned and released without charge.
