(CENTRALIA, IL) — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 23-year-old Centralia man charged Tuesday in Marion County Court with Class 1 felony manufacture with the intent to deliver between 1 and 15 grams of heroin. According to Centralia police, Jerron Owens was arrested around 7:40 Monday night during a traffic stop for failure to signal, after officers noted a strong odor of cannabis in the vehicle and called the K9 officer to the scene. The dog reportedly alerted on the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed 23 individual baggies containing a substance believed to be heroin. Owens was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail. His next court appearance in the case is January 5, 2016, with court appointed counsel.
