Georgetta Marie “Stormy” Stedman, 76, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away December 11, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

She was born June 25, 1945 in West Frankfort, Illinois to the late William Woodrow and Clara Marie (Summers) Allen. Stormy married Clifford Lester Stedman on June 30, 2006 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2012.  Stormy is survived by her children, Shannon Robertson of Benton, Kentucky and Nikki Arment and husband, Justin of Chesterfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Hannah Arment, Kaleb Robertson, Brynlie Arment, Drake Robertson, and Brody Robertson; brother, Bill Allen and wife, Judy of Phoenix, Arizona; nieces, Beth Littrell Persinger of Omaha, Illinois and Toni Cates Houseworth of Mount Vernon, Illinois;  and nephew, John Stewart Allen of Springerville, Arizona. In addition to her parents and husband, Stormy was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Allen Cates; and great-niece, Autumn Thackrey Pittman. Stormy was the owner and operator of Stormy’s Restaurant in Bluford from 1985-1993. She then managed Stormy’s Restaurant at the airport from 1994-1997 and then at Lake Zone at Rend Lake from 1998-2000. Stormy later worked at the DMV as a hearing officer from 2000-2016. She was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Mount Vernon. Stormy loved her family, shopping, and cooking. She was the life of the party. Stormy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Greeting of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Mount Vernon. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 pm with Reverend Steve Edwards officiating. Memorials may be made in Stormy’s honor to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund.
