Reba Mae Aydt, 94, of Dahlgren, IL passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at her home.

Reba was born on February 27, 1927, in Dahlgren, the daughter of Riley & Diana Scrivner.  On May 16, 1950 she married Jerome Aydt who preceded her in death.

Reba worked at Aydt Limestone & Aydt Excavating in Belle Rive, IL which she and her husband Jerome owned together.  She later worked for, and retired from the Illinois Department of Labor in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Reba was a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, IL.  She was known for her chili and her fudge, which she loved to give away to others.  She loved traveling, reading, and spending time with her family – especially her beloved grandchildren.

Reba is survived by 3 daughters: Carol Coffel of DuQuoin, IL; Connie (Paul) Post of Ft. Smith, AR and Kim (Stan) Micinski of Meridian, ID; a son Kevin (Jayne) Aydt of Wildwood, MO; 7 grandchildren: Aaron (Eri) Coffel, Matthew Coffel, Kate (Ben) McDonald, Matt Post, Amanda (Justin) Knight, Andrew Aydt, and Alexi Micinski; 3 great-grandchildren: Madison Coffel, Jude McDonald, and Linden McDonald, a brother John (Joyce) Scrivner, a sister Minnie Sneed, a sister-in-law Caroline Bowling, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Riley & Diana Scrivner, her husband Jerome Aydt, a son-in-law Galen Coffel, a brother Rozier Scrivner, and 2 sisters: Alma Brown and Gladys Scrivner.

Funeral services for Reba Mae Aydt will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, IL with Pastor Brad Sloan officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Cemetery in Dahlgren.
