(MT. VERNON, IL) — The City of Mt. Vernon has announced the closure of Richview Road between Pavey Avenue and N. 12th Street from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily beginning today and last for the duration of this week. The closure is due to construction of curb and sidewalks adjacent to the roadway. The road will be open to traffic outside of the stated work hours. Motorists are encouraged to use Pavey Avenue, Isabella Avenue, and N. 12th Street as a detour route.
