Kara Lee Ferguson, 51, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 12:47 am January 24, 2021 at White Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born November 14, 1969 in Mount Vernon to the late Donald and Patsy (Moore) Martin.

Kara is survived by her children, Shawna Perry and husband, Zachary and Levi Ferguson and girlfriend, Madison Shafer, all of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Hayden, Leila, Silas, Brantley, Raelynn, Kensley, and Bailey; siblings, Donella Mullinax and husband, Bart and Garrett Martin and wife, Kathy, all of Woodlawn, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kara was preceded in death by her grandparents.

There will be no public services held. Memorials may be made in Kara’s honor to the Ferguson family, in care of Shawna Perry.
