David F. Thomas, 75, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:14 pm December 19, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born September 8, 1945 in Norman, Oklahoma to the late Noble Barton and Alelia V. (Butler) Thomas. David married Patty J. (Brieseacher) Thomas on December 7, 1963 in Mount Vernon. They just celebrated their 57th year of marriage.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:30 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon by the cross in the back of the cemetery with Reverend Victor Long officiating. Private Inurnment will follow. Memorials may be made in David’s honor to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Angels on Assignment.
