The initial Snap Chat post was subsequently shared numerous times by others on social media platforms including Facebook, Snap Chat and Tik Tok, which caused much concern.
Heseman confirmed the votes were delivered to her office in the sealed box and the votes were not tampered with.
Deputies talked with the person responsible for the post and say the person was apologetic and told them the post was placed on Snap Chat as a joke. Efforts have been made to retrieve the numerous postings so that further concern may be diminished or eliminated.
If any further relevant information is received, or action taken, the sheriff’s office will update the public.
