JEFFERSON/HAMILTON COUNTIES, IL — This is National Farm Safety and Health Week. A number of businesses and organizations are helping spread the message including the Jefferson & Hamilton County Farm Bureaus.

Sydney Lay is the Farm Bureau Manager at both locations. She says Thursday highlights Emergency Preparedness.

This year’s theme is “Every Farmer Counts”. Lay says prevention ahead of time is a major key in helping save lives in an emergency.
