MT. VERNON — The city of Mt. Vernon Public Works Department is notifying residents of upcoming road work on Indian Trail.

Weather permitting, the public works department will begin installing new asphalt on Indian Trail from Caroline Street to the south for 700 feet on Wednesday, August 26th. This is the portion of the road that is city maintained.

The section of the road will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there will be no street parking allowed during this time period. Residents will need to park vehicles on adjacent side streets as they will not have access to their driveways during this time.
