Illinois State Police reports say that a Farina Police Officer attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation on Interstate 57, near the Farina exit.
State Police reports say the vehicle failed to stop and fled from the officer. ISP reports say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 185 near Fayette County Road 1150 North at a high rate of speed when the vehicle’s driver lost control negotiating a curve.
The vehicle then left the roadway to the right and overturned. Two occupants were ejected and all three occupants were airlifted to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants were 19-year-old Kanen Finke of Effingham, 18-year-old Robert Lowrance of Teutopolis and a 15-year-old male of Effingham.
