ZEIGLER — The Zeigler-Royalton School District released a statement Wednesday saying due to an increase in the amount of positive COVID-19 cases in district’s school community, the district suspended in-person learning Wednesday.
The district used one of its state-allowed remote learning days today and will do so again on Friday. Students did not participate in remote learning today and won’t again tomorrow. Full remote learning for the entire district will begin Monday and continue through Friday, Sept. 4 with a potential return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The district will continue to provide updates on this return and adjust as necessary. All safety protocols have been followed and this decision is based solely on precautionary measures. The district strongly feels that no student has been in direct contact with a confirmed positive individual.
