BENTON — As the September 30th deadline draws near for completing the 2020 Census, the City of Benton is reminding residents to fill out their information if they haven’t done so already.
According to City Clerk Brook Craig, as of last week, the city was behind by about 7 percent where it was with the census 10 years ago.
Craig says some information about the census was shared at Monday’s City Council Meeting. She says for every person who fills out the census, that’s worth $18,000 for the community over the next 10 years.
If you haven’t been able to fill out your census, Craig says she and City Council member Cathy Ann Garavalia are planning to set up computers at the Chamber Car Show in Benton in September and help you with the process.
