HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg School District announced changes to their return to school plan for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday.
The first day of school has been moved back to Monday, August 24th. It was set to be on August 19th.
Also, for at least the first 9 weeks of the school year, with in-person learning scheduled from 8-noon, and remote learners will be a part of class from 12:30 to 3:30. Students will still attend school in-person or virtually five days a week.
The district also is making parents aware that sometime next week, a staff member from your child’s building will be calling parents to schedule an appointment to come in and pick up student’s chrome-book, get training on remote learning, and possibly do some quick diagnostic tests. The district will maintain these in very small groups for distancing purposes. This appointment is required whether you plan on attending classes in-person or remotely.
