MT. VERNON, IL — C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library in Mt. Vernon announced via a Facebook post on Monday of their re-opening July 1st. The library’s hours will be modified to 9a-7:30pm Monday-Thursday, 9a-4:30pm on Friday’s, 10a-3:30pm on Saturday, and Sunday the library will be operational from 1-4:30pm.
Bill Pixley says the library will also feature special hours for the elderly or those at high-risk for contraction of any sickness.
With the re-opening of the library comes the return of the Summer Reading Program as well. Pixley says waiting until July to open should provide the safest environment for all visitors.
