HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg City Council will be opening bids and possibly approving quotes for a new police car and maintenance to city hall at their meeting Thursday.

In addition to the bid openings, the council could give the go-ahead for seeking bids for a pick-up truck for the fire department, a trackhoe for the water/sewer department, and a dump truck for the street/alley department.

The council will also discuss and possibly act on downstate small business stabilization resolutions during the meeting, and a public hearing will be held on those before the start of the meeting.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at Harrisburg City Hall. The public hearing will start at 5:45 p.m. You can hear the meeting live on AM 1240 and 93.7 FM, WEBQ.
