SALINE COUNTY — The communities of Saline County and the Saline County Chamber of Commerce are working together to put on a fundraiser called “We are CommUNITY Strong”to raise money for grants for local businesses. The event will be similar to the Marion United fundraiser held earlier in the spring, and will feature bands like Travis Beasley, The Penguins, The Phelps Sisters and more.
Alex Watkins is the Economic and Community Development Coordinator for the city of Harrisburg. He says while it is a fundraiser, everyone will be able to enjoy the event at no cost.
The event will be broadcast on social media at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st.
