Erma Joann Edwards, 87, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 am April 25, 2020 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born February 6, 1933 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Irvin  and Opal (Dagg) Somers. Erma married Jack L. Johnson on November 2, 1956 in Hernando, Mississippi. They were blessed with nearly fifty-eight years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 22, 2014. Erma later married Allen Edwards and he survives. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
