Bunny Louise Phillips, 77, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Wednesday evening, March 11, 2020, at her home.
She was born on April 25, 1942 in aurora, Illinois to Rev. Harry A. and Naomi (Bennett) McKinney.
On February 19, 1966, in Aurora, she married Paul E. Phillips, and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2017.
Mrs. Phillips graduated from Belmond High School in Belmond, Iowa and then attended Omaha Baptist Bible College in Omaha Nebraska. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Vernon Sportsman’s club from 2002.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by three daughters, Pamela Elaine Duncan of Mt. Vernon, Kristie Lynn Morgan of Mt. Vernon and Zoey Elaine Lyn Duncan of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren, Anthony C. Duncan and wife Allison, Kristin Duncan-Ellis and fiancée Thomas Keeley, Nicholas Paul Duncan, Sydney Alieen Morgan, Reece Paul Duncan, and Lillian Louise Morgan; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Susan Irene Folik of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Candace Naomi Patzelsberger of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and Dorothia Kay Brown McKinney of Peru, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded by her parents, a sister Sandra Lynn Johnson of Fertile, Iowa, and a brother Jeffrey Lynn McKinney of Peru, Illinois.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Union Chapel Cemetery.
