CARBONDALE, IL — A Carbondale man is facing gun charges after Carbondale Police saw him driving on North Robert Stalls Avenue and East Willow Street Tuesday afternoon, stopped him and arrested him for driving with a revoked driver’s license.

According to Carbondale Police, officers found 39-year-old Brian Hooks in possession of a stolen firearm.

Hooks was charged with unlawful use of weapons (felon in possession of a firearm), possession of a stolen firearm, being an armed habitual criminal and driving with a revoked driver’s license. Hooks was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
