Marlene SaRae Williamson, 74, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 pm February 14, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born April 18, 1945 in Mount Vernon to the late Marvin and Wilma (Hayes) Upton. Marlene married James “Jim”  Williamson on June 22, 1963 at Hopewell United Methodist Church in rural Jefferson County.  He survives in Mount Vernon.

A Visitation will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Marlene’s honor to the Centralia Humane Society.
