Charles G. Wells 86, of Woodlawn passed away on February 9, 2020 in Mount Vernon, Illinois at Mount Vernon Health Care Center with his family by his side.

He was born on January 14, 1934 in Waltonville, Illinois. The son of Harl and Gladys (Newell) Wells Lacey. He married Delores McDuffy and she preceded him in death. On May 4, 2009 he married Jolene Wilson.

Per Charlie’s wishes he will be cremated with no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mount Vernon Church of Christ on Ilbery Street with Mr. David Goin officiating. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
