SALEM, IL — Salem police arrested two occupants of a vehicle stopped Wednesday in connection with an earlier well-being check.
According to police, 25-year-old Landon Bone, and 26-year-old Brandi Pierce, both of Centralia, were in a vehicle backed into a parking space at the Huck’s Store in Salem. Police were called to do a well-being check on the vehicle’s two occupants but the car had left before officers arrived.
Police ultimately located the vehicle driving west out of Salem and a traffic stop was made. A police K-9 alerted on the vehicle and officers reportedly found almost 60 narcotic pills and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found in Pierce’s possession.
She was arrested on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bone was arrested for alleged driving under the influence of drugs.
They were both taken to the Marion County Jail where they remained Thursday morning.
