WEST FRANKFORT — Due to Christmas Eve today, the West Frankfort City Council will meet this Thursday night at 6 at City Hall.

Items on the agenda include approving publishing meeting dates for next year for the city council, planning commission, lake committee, police and fire pension boards and the police and fire merit board, approving an ordinance authorizing the city of borrow funds from the water pollution control loan program regarding the Monroe Street sanitary sewer rehabilitation project and the Taft Street sanitary sewer rehabilitation – phase 2 project, purchasing two police vehicles subject to receiving a grant through Rural Development and approving an ordinance authorizing the leasing of a specific area of the West Frankfort Mall.

The meeting is open to the public.
