CLINTON COUNTY — The attorney for the City of Centralia has thrown his hat into the ring to run for Clinton County State’s Attorney in 2020.
Doug Gruenke is currently a partner in the law firm of Bruckert, Gruenke & Long, P.C., and manages the firm’s office in New Baden.
He has spent his career representing and advising municipalities, small business owners, and private citizens. He is currently the attorney for Albers, Centralia, Damiansville, New Baden and Wamac, has represented over a dozen other cities. He is currently the president of the Illinois Local Government Lawyers Association.
Gruenke is a graduate of Wesclin High School, SIUE, and SIU School of Law. He and his wife Georgia are proud to call New Baden home, a place where they also raised their four children. “Spending nearly my entire life in Clinton County, I have had the opportunity to meet and represent people from every corner of the County. It would be an honor and privilege to now be their State’s Attorney,” stated Gruenke.
